Job Summary:

As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. Under the direction of our Chief of Radiology and Imaging Services Director, you will utilize your expertise and independent judgment to ensure optimal diagnostic quality and patient care.

Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Perform patient studies according to established protocols, including placing specified coils close to areas of interest.
  2. Operate imaging and other equipment devices to provide high-quality diagnostic services, including keying commands to specify scan sequences and adjusting transmitters and receivers.
  3. Interview patients to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures and address their concerns, demonstrating tact, courtesy, and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.
  4. Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols, requesting removal of hazardous metal objects, and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
  5. Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees in MRI procedures.
  6. Train MRI Technologists I in MRI procedures and may direct, check, and train other MRI employees in the absence of the MRI Supervising Technologist.
Basic Qualifications:

We require a minimum of two years of continuous recent experience as a MRI Technologist, with proficiency in all duties required of a MRI Technologist II. A High School Diploma/GED is also required. Additionally, you must hold a Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California) and a Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California) within six months of hire. Basic Life Support certification is also necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

ARRT certification is preferred.
