MRI Technologist Level II

As a MRI Technologist Level II at Kaiser Permanente, you will operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. Under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, you will perform related technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient studies according to set protocol, including placing specified coil close to the area of interest.
- Operate imaging and other equipment devices to provide quality diagnostic services.
- Interview patients to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures and address their concerns.
- Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
- Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees in MRI procedures.
- Minimum two years of continuous recent experience as a MRI Technologist.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California).
- Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California) within 6 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support.
- ARRT certification.
