The ideal candidate will develop and execute health and safety plans, enforce policies, assess risks, and promote a culture of safety within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safety training to employees on policies, regulations, and procedures according to state and federal guidelines
  • Advise the administrative team on safety issues and compliance in specific projects and operations
  • Inspect and verify company compliance with relevant safety regulations
  • Conduct monthly safety meetings
  • Maintain accurate and current records in accordance with guidelines
  • Analyze incident reports, metrics, and injury case studies to institute changes that lead to a safer environment
  • Schedule maintenance on vehicles, ensure compliance with driving regulations, and provide proper training to all drivers
  • Develop methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
  • Monitor drivers to ensure adherence to maintenance and proper driving practices
  • Perform other duties as required by management

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a safety/fleet manager
  • Expert knowledge of OSHA programs and regulations, best driving practices, vehicle maintenance, and other industry practices
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent motivational, time management, and organizational skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
  • Ability to pass a drug screen, MVR, and 7-year background check
  • Legally able to work in the United States
