Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Medical Event Manager to join our team at JobsRUs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meeting planning and coordination, with a focus on the medical industry.

About the Role:

This is a senior-level position that requires a high degree of autonomy, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of event planning, from inception to completion, including venue sourcing, contract negotiation, AV or production sourcing, ground transportation, F&B planning, event design, event management technology, attendee registration and management, onsite event support, pre or post event evaluations, as well as program budget management and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of event planning for Medical Education courses, Advisory Board Meetings, and Innovation Councils
  • Prepare and manage budgets for each meeting
  • Coordinate logistical support and provide direction to meeting staff, vendors, and hotel counterparts
  • Cultivate relationships with hotel and AV partners and stay up-to-date on industry trends and market conditions
  • Ensure adherence to Compliance, Code of Conduct, and local laws regarding interactions with Health Care Providers (HCP)
  • Troubleshoot and handle any issues that arise on the event day
  • Compile price lists and negotiate contracts for services
  • Track and process all changes, including updates to hotel confirmation numbers and cancellation numbers
  • Provide reports, such as rooming, participants list, ground transportation, group air, arrival and departure, food and beverage, translation etc.
  • Knowledge of meeting planning policies, procedures, compliance, and business practices

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in meeting planning and coordination, preferably in the medical industry
  • Cvent Event Management Certification preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Domestic travel required 25%

Benefits:

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $32.85 per hour. We offer a range of benefits, including weekly pay and a competitive salary.
