The Senior Strategic Planner plays a pivotal role in crafting, conceptualizing, and executing strategies, programs, and campaigns informed by consumer insights, market trends, best practices, and technological advancements. This role not only supports but often leads strategic initiatives across the department through comprehensive intelligence gathering, research design, analysis, and the creation of strategic support materials such as research findings videos and briefing documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic oversight for all client campaigns and projects, guiding the creative team to ensure alignment with marketing strategies and brand identity.
  • Develop compelling strategies for idea presentation, backed by research to substantiate the approach.
  • Craft inspiring creative briefs and collaborate with in-house teams or partner agencies to develop the necessary content and experiences.
  • Research, analyze, and present cultural and social trends impacting the marketplace for client brands on both local and global scales.
  • Lead and engage in brainstorming sessions to formulate brand strategies that foster innovative creative thinking.
  • Utilize research tools to develop customer profiles and personas, identify unmet needs, and hypothesize key customer challenges and solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across various disciplines, including strategy, creative, and account management, both within and outside the agency.
  • Provide thought leadership internally with agency staff and externally with client teams.
  • Create clear and compelling content for client presentations, points of view, and other deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate timesheets in compliance with deadlines.
  • Manage workload efficiently to accomplish tasks effectively.
  • Uphold and promote Walton Isaacson's culture while maintaining a positive and forward-thinking attitude.

Communication Skills:

Qualifications:

  • Experience in qualitative research methodologies, including focus groups, in-depth interviews, and ethnographic research.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to influence internal teams.
  • Ability to collaborate with bi-coastal teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
