Salary

The estimated salary range for this position in Purchase, New York is $161,000-$250,000 per year.

Job Description

This role leads services sales relationships with key financial institutions, responsible for new and existing business across all Services product/service lines within the United States. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering against sales targets (in-year and total contract value)
  • Managing and expanding relationships with client stakeholders, developing trust to enable intimate discussions on client goals and needs
  • Translating client challenges into hypotheses and structuring large/complex engagements with imperfect information
  • Leveraging deep knowledge of Mastercard Services capabilities to structure innovative solutions and strategic bundles
  • Leading internal partners to develop formal and informal pitch materials, ensuring succinct, persuasive content tailored to audience and seniority
  • D Delivering compelling, high-impact pitches showcasing leadership, expertise and alignment to client needs
  • Reviewing and improving project deliverables, quickly identifying gaps and opportunities to increase value to clients
  • Driving intelligence back into Services and broader Mastercard, supporting the feedback loop that drives Services innovation
  • Contributing as a thought leader to the development of intellectual capital, point of views, articles and blogs

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • An undergraduate degree; an MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is preferred
  • A proven track record in managing a sales pipeline, identifying and advancing sales opportunities and exceeding targets
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and influence stakeholders (internal and client) in large/complex environments
  • Best-in-class narrative development and storytelling skills, experience in developing compelling sales narratives and pitch materials for complex client business challenges
  • Leadership presence and best-in-class pitch/presentation skills, establishing credibility and influencing client audiences
  • Excellent analytical skills, including financial analysis for business casing, value quantification and pricing
  • Demonstrated creativity, problem-solving and empathy (ability to think from the perspective of the customer)
  • Disciplined and process-oriented, proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Extensive experience in management consulting firms and/or the payments industry
  • Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
