Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Automation Specialist to join our team at PharmScript, LLC. As a key member of our Floor Technician department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy automated dispensing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the pharmacy automated dispensing equipment, inventory, related equipment, and databases on a day-to-day basis.
  • Oversee technicians to ensure that company protocol and safety protocol are followed when using automation machinery, train new employees, and ensure production forms are complete each shift.
  • Perform quality assurance monitoring, generate, and review reports.
  • Coordinate the installation and replacement of equipment.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of new programs and activities.
  • Perform education and communicate with staff regarding the use of automation technology.
  • Order and measure pills for new canisters.
  • Run NDC change report (deactivate non-robot NDCs).
  • Inform pharmacists when printing zones need changing on a robot NDC.
  • Move drugs from robot to prepack if needed.
  • Assist with the schedule to ensure there is robot coverage.
  • Assist on inventory day coming in at 5 am.
  • Other duties set by management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum three years experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.
  • Two years of pharmacy automation dispensing equipment function and database maintenance required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittently.
  • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.
  • May lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
