OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a talented Controls Engineer to become a vital part of our growing organization, Talos Automation. This position is ideal for an individual eager to advance their career while contributing to the expansion of our innovative services and solutions within the Electrical and Controls sector. The role focuses on the design, enhancement, and deployment of advanced digital product suites, allowing our clients to monitor equipment conditions in real-time via smartphones or web interfaces.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Software Development and Design

Collaborate with systems engineers to facilitate the integration of additional machinery into our cloud infrastructure.

Assist the sales team throughout the sales cycle of our digital product offerings.

Work closely with system engineers to enhance functionality and features of the digital suite.

Develop and sustain PLC control interfaces for the digital suite, utilizing various programmable controllers, including Siemens S7F, TIA, and Allen Bradley ControlLogix.

Write clear, maintainable, and reusable code from the ground up.

Create comprehensive technical documentation, including operator manuals and training guides.

Support and Service Functions

Provide assistance to the Field Service Group in preparing for installations and software updates.

Participate in on-site installation and commissioning as needed.

Engage with clients during sales or project meetings as required.

Act as Project Manager for specific assignments as designated by the Service Engineering Manager.

Design and deliver technical training programs for both internal and external stakeholders.

Interface with clients to address issues and technical inquiries.

Provide technical support for service and new machine sales as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is preferred.

Experience with industrial control systems is advantageous.

Familiarity with Allen Bradley RS Logix 5, 500, Studio 5000, Siemens S7, S7F, and TIA Portal is desirable.

Ability to independently program from scratch.

Knowledge of industrial networking, such as PROFINET and Ethernet/IP, is a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Willingness to travel as necessary.

Capable of leading discussions and delivering presentations on highly technical subjects.

Customer-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills.

Able to multitask and thrive in dynamic business environments.

Self-driven and results-focused.

Demonstrated ability to make independent judgments and decisions.

Team-oriented approach to problem-solving and achieving objectives.

Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.

Fluency in English with advanced reading and writing capabilities.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

· Salary Range: $85K - $130K (based on experience and qualifications)

· Overtime opportunities available after 40 hours
