Position Overview: We are seeking a Nursing Assistant II + Clerical (Clinical Support Technician II) for our Neurosurgery/ENT Acute Care Unit. This unit is dedicated to providing care for post-operative surgical patients, including those recovering from brain and spinal surgeries, cancer treatments, neuro-trauma, and strokes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist professional caregivers in delivering patient care.
- Transport patients and equipment, and maintain patient rooms.
- Perform a variety of clerical tasks, including transcription and maintaining the patient care unit desk area.
- Monitor and manage patient care documentation, reporting any significant changes to the registered nurse or physician.
- Support physicians and healthcare providers during routine examinations and procedures.
- Conduct quality assurance audits and safety checks.
- Provide direct personal care to patients as outlined in their care plans.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Registered as Nursing Assistant II with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Registered as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
- One year of clerical or customer service experience, along with six months of related nursing assistant experience.
- Fluency in verbal and written English is required.
Work Environment: This position involves working 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, within a supportive and dynamic team environment.
