Job Summary

UCHealth (Colorado) is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at UCHealth Longs Peak Medical Center in Longmont, Colorado.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sonography procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, as well as the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
  • Review patient history, physician's orders, and schedule exams accordingly.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice.
  • Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies, select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, and implement safety standards.
  • Analyze results, identify issues with imaging quality, and take appropriate action to resolve.
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results, and may work with Radiology students.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
  • Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • State licensure if required by law.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
