FPA Support-Patient Liaison

The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a highly skilled FPA Support-Patient Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our faculty practice, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless patient experience. Your primary responsibility will be to greet and establish first contact with patients, confirming and updating their demographics and verifying insurance coverage as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients either in person or via telephone, enter and update their insurance/demographics in the practice management system.
- Verify patients' insurance coverage prior to their appointment and advise them of any insurance referrals or authorizations needed.
- Communicate with staff regarding patients' arrival and ensure that their medical record is available for the physician.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will also process HIPAA-related paperwork, collect or retrieve referrals or insurance authorizations, and review the status of the waiting room on a routine basis.
Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
