Job Overview

Azamara is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Business Development Manager to represent our boutique brand in the North Central U.S. region. This individual will be responsible for generating profitable revenue from assigned retail travel agencies and top accounts with Azamara Cruises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers at current individual accounts within the territory and advisors.
  • Create and execute local marketing, contract negotiations, and promotional programs with assigned accounts within the territory.
  • Meet or exceed corporate growth goals, including Quarterly and Annual Sailed Revenue, as well as Quarterly Booked Guests.
  • Make sales presentations to small/large audiences to promote the entire brand, specific ships, and destinations.
  • Work with accounts to create and increase group business.
  • Partner with the AVP of Sales to analyze and develop opportunities within the territory in addition to special projects.
  • Develop territory account plans, contract negotiations, and marketing/promotional strategies for assigned account base.
  • Responsible for complete knowledge of all Azamara Cruises products, services, and brand representation and policies.
  • Analyze sales data to present monthly and quarterly business reviews with select accounts across the territory.
  • Work with HQ roll-up accounts to analyze and develop opportunities and communicate a strategic plan to execute to the North America sale team in coordination with the AVP of Sales.
  • Gather and communicate reporting on customer business profile (ROI, cost of sale, yield, retention, automation).
  • Develop brand ambassadors' customers are kept up to date with the latest information on itineraries, pricing, and product enhancements.
  • Identify top 50 partners and how to work the territory with the turn on accounts.
  • Review existing contracts and identify opportunities for growth and incentive.
  • Territory Management - Use the company's CRM to manage territory activities as well as record and report sales progress with the agencies.
Requirements
  • Chicago area-based person preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven outside sales experience required; Travel industry preferred.
  • Must be able to travel up to 40%.
