Northrop Grumman - Cutting Edge Optronics is seeking a highly motivated Assembler for wafer processing. The Semiconductor Wafer Fabrication Technician executes tasks related to the production of semiconductor laser wafers. All activities occur in a team-oriented, mobile phone-free, fragrance-free cleanroom environment. Responsibilities may vary based on individual experience, strengths, and specific requirements of Cutting Edge Optronics.
Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
Work from diagrams and drawings, create initial layouts, and utilize hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
Conduct continuity checks on work in progress and completed tasks. May perform quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent fine motor skills.
Comfortable wearing full cleanroom attire and working under yellow lighting.
Good oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to follow written operational procedures.
Willingness and capability to learn new tasks.
Salary Range:
$31, $52,300.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
