Position Title: Hydraulic Systems Specialist

Location: St. Charles, MO

The Hydraulic Systems Specialist will apply mechanical expertise to aid in the fabrication and assembly of a range of specialized products, including custom displays, trailers, and vehicles, adhering to project specifications and timelines. A strong emphasis on safety and product quality is essential for success in this position.

Key responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic systems. Proficiency in mechanical and hydraulic skills is vital to ensure the effective construction and operation of our bespoke projects.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the manufacturing process of specialized products according to project guidelines.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and design teams to comprehend project needs and schedules.
  • Install and assemble hydraulic systems under moderate supervision, following project specifications.
  • Ensure the correct alignment and integration of hydraulic components, such as pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and hoses.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems, addressing issues like leaks and pressure inconsistencies.
  • Devise effective solutions to resolve hydraulic system challenges and restore optimal performance.
  • Conduct testing and calibration of hydraulic systems to guarantee accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work closely with engineering and shop teams to provide insights on hydraulic system design and enhancements.
  • Identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with hydraulic systems.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and departmental guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a hydraulic technician role or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience in hydraulic system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Thorough understanding of hydraulic principles, components, and systems.
  • Ability to interpret hydraulic schematics and technical drawings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • Mechanical aptitude with proficiency in using basic hand tools.
  • Knowledge of fundamental construction principles and methods.
  • Commitment to safety compliance.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to mentor and guide other team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical certification or an associate degree in hydraulics, fluid power, or a related discipline.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours daily.
  • Capacity to lift and transport items weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in elevated positions.
