Northrop Grumman's Cutting Edge Optronics division is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Semiconductor Wafer Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our wafer processing team, you will be responsible for performing operations associated with the fabrication of semiconductor laser wafers in a team-oriented, mobile phone-free, fragrance-free cleanroom environment.
Responsibilities- Wafer Production Operations: Perform photolithography, wet and dry etching, and metallization processes to produce high-quality semiconductor laser wafers.
- Wafer Inspection and Measurement: Use a microscope, profilometer, and/or ellipsometer to measure and inspect wafers for defects and quality control.
- Chemical Handling: Safely handle chemicals used in the production process, including sulfuric acid, hydrogen peroxide, and acetic acid.
- Wafer Mounting and Thinning: Mount and thin wafers using a slurry-based lapping and polishing equipment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Skills: Excellent fine motor skills, comfortable wearing full cleanroom attire, and good oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience: 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience and/or training in a cleanroom environment.
- Education: 2-year technical associate's degree.
- Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in a cleanroom environment.
