Position Title: Electrical Systems Technician
Location: St. Charles, MO
Position Summary: The Electrical Systems Technician will support the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in custom trailers, displays, and vehicles. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals eager to start or advance their careers in electrical work within the manufacturing sector. The preferred candidate will possess at least 1 year of experience in the electrical field, with familiarity in 120/240 single phase, 208 3 phase, and 440 3 phase systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in custom trailers, displays, and vehicles.
- Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
- Conduct basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs under the guidance of experienced technicians.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production deadlines and uphold quality standards.
- Engage in training programs to enhance electrical skills and knowledge.
- Document work performed and materials used for accurate record-keeping.
Required Skills and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in the electrical field or equivalent education.
- Basic understanding of electrical principles, concepts, and the NEC code book.
- Familiarity with wiring methods and proper wire sizing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Willingness to learn essential skills, including:
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Reading tape measures and protractors.
- Using air and electric hand tools.
- Performing conduit bending.
- Problem-solving and quick learning abilities.
- Safety consciousness and good housekeeping practices.

Preferred Skills:
- Associate's degree in Electrical or completion of a Vocational High School Electrical program.
- Enrollment in an Electrical Apprenticeship Program.
- 1 year of experience in the electrical field with knowledge of 120/240 single phase, 208 3 phase, and 440 3 phase systems.
- Electrical experience in manufacturing and commercial settings.
- Familiarity with Audio Visual wiring.
- Knowledge of generator power systems.
- Experience with conduit and PLC installation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, squat, kneel, climb, balance, and reach overhead.
- Vision requirements include close and/or color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work environment includes exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection is required.
- Some travel may be necessary for on-site assistance or repairs.
