Production Assembler
*Job DescriptionSet up and operate various machine tools including lathes, mills, boring machines, and grinders to fabricate both metallic and non-metallic components. Trim, drill, route, align, and assemble materials as required. Operate forming machines and presses efficiently.
Prepare and disassemble production tools and aids as necessary.
Utilize gauges, scales, calipers, and other measuring instruments to verify parts and adhere to work orders, setup cards, and other operational instructions.
Conduct routine maintenance on machinery, ensuring fluid levels are adequate, emptying chips, and cleaning machines to eliminate coolant, dust, and debris.
Monitor and inspect the parts being processed. Deburr and finish all machined components.Essential Skills+ Proficient in setting up and operating machine tools such as lathes, mills, boring machines, and grinders + Skilled in trimming, drilling, routing, aligning, and assembling materials + Experience with forming machines and presses + Capable of setting up and dismantling production tools and aids + Competent in using gauges, scales, calipers, and other measuring tools + Ability to perform routine maintenance on machinery + Experienced in monitoring parts during production + Skilled in deburring and finishing machined componentsJob Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 months.Work Site
This is a fully on-site position.Work Environment
Assembly/Machine Operating. Multiple openings available on 1st shift and 2nd shift. Mandatory overtime may be required to meet production demands. Non-climate controlled environment, involving metal cutting; conditions may vary based on tasks.
PPE required:
steel-toed footwear, eye and ear protection. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Teams will rotate work across different areas every few months to promote engagement and prevent fatigue.
