Position: Account Analyst
Department: Major Accounts
Location: NYC Office
Role Summary
The Account Analyst is responsible for the daily management and servicing of commercial lines clients. This includes tasks such as rating, marketing, obtaining quotes, and assisting in the preparation of submissions, proposals, and binders. The role demands a commitment to providing prompt, accurate, and courteous service to clients, sales representatives, and insurance carriers.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process policies, audits, and policy modifications.
- Make recommendations for coverage enhancements or adjustments as necessary.
- Engage with carriers and both internal and external clients to deliver exceptional service.
- Contribute to the preparation of renewal submissions for marketing, including applications, necessary exhibits, narratives, and responses to underwriting inquiries.
- Assist in account reconciliation for receivables management.
- Submit applications to carriers and follow up to ensure timely receipt of quotes and policies.
- Provide technical support, including completing applications, renewal proposals, binders, audits, coverage summaries, endorsements, cancellations, and certificates of insurance.
- Respond to and process incoming requests from clients, carriers, and mail as directed by the Account Executive.
- Prepare policy binders.
- Manage all invoicing responsibilities.
- Conduct initial policy checklist procedures.
Additional Duties
- Maintain client files in accordance with company standards.
- Manage workflows, tasks, and incoming mail within the Document Management System.
- Ensure the accuracy of account data input into the agency management system.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Preferred: College degree.
- Strong organizational and client service skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written, and verbal communication abilities.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of multitasking with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with document management and agency management systems is preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without company sponsorship.
Licenses and Specialized Knowledge
Property and Casualty Producer License
Relevant designations such as ARM, CRIS, CPCU, and others as applicable.
Work Environment
This position is based in an office environment with a moderate noise level. Flexibility in working hours and the ability to travel to other company offices and client sites as needed is required.
