Job Summary

The Baldwin Group is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Lines team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, insurance companies, and agency personnel to deliver exceptional service and drive business growth.

This is a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment where you will be responsible for maintaining client files, composing professional business correspondence, and performing accounting/math related functions. You will also be responsible for monitoring claims, providing guidance and assistance to clients, and interacting with others effectively to achieve the goals of the company.

We are looking for a motivated and results-driven individual with 3+ years of experience in a Commercial Account Manager role. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of client accounts, including policy review, changes and updates, contract review for certificates processing, and preparing renewal documents. You will also be responsible for assisting client inquiries via telephone and email, and counseling and advising clients on coverage and exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain client files in Agency Management System accurately and consistently
  • Compose professional business correspondence via letter, email, and/or other means
  • Perform accounting/math related functions, including invoicing, premium allocation, and other tasks as necessary
  • Monitor claims and communicate claims information to others in the agency
  • Provide guidance and assistance to clients, as needed
  • Interact with others effectively to achieve the goals of the company
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of client accounts, including policy review, changes and updates, contract review for certificates processing, and preparing renewal documents
  • Assist client inquiries via telephone and email, and counsel and advise clients on coverage and exposure

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a Commercial Account Manager role
  • State insurance license(s), as required by the State Department of Insurance
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to learn any other appropriate insurance company and firm software programs
