Department Overview:

The Equal Opportunity & Title IX Office collaborates with faculty, staff, and the broader community to maintain a discrimination-free environment that supports the success of all students. The office is dedicated to compliance with federal and state laws regarding nondiscrimination and affirmative action.

Role Summary:

This role involves receiving, assessing, and investigating complaints related to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and sexual misconduct from university stakeholders. The investigator will also provide training to various campus groups.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Higher Education, Political Science, or Human Resources, along with four years of pertinent professional experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven investigative abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of EEO/TIX regulations.
  • Experience in compliance and statistical analysis.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation capabilities.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to analyze workforce data proficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Capacity to build and maintain professional relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in investigations related to sexual misconduct or discrimination in higher education.
  • Demonstrated public speaking skills.
  • Thorough understanding of nondiscrimination laws and compliance regulations.
  • Experience in preparing reports for Affirmative Action Plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct investigations into reports of discrimination and harassment, preparing comprehensive reports with minimal supervision.
  • Coordinate necessary interim measures and accommodations with relevant parties.
  • Collaborate with various university offices to facilitate student programs related to Title IX.
  • Deliver training programs on antidiscrimination and sexual misconduct across campus.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM (with some remote flexibility)
