Department Overview:

The Data, Analytics, and Institutional Research (DAIR) team plays a crucial role in supporting the university's strategic initiatives through the provision of reliable data and insightful analytics. Our team is composed of experienced professionals who specialize in various aspects of higher education data management, including quantitative analysis and business intelligence.

Role Summary:

The Business Intelligence Analyst will be an integral part of the DAIR team, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to drive institutional research and analytics initiatives. This role involves the ongoing development and implementation of SAS Business Intelligence tools, aimed at creating and maintaining analytic dashboards that serve the UNT community. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting data analysis and generating insights from institutional data.
  • Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design and develop reports and dashboards that address institutional priorities.
  • Enhancing the data landscape to support informed decision-making.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, accompanied by five years of professional experience in a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A strong analytical mindset, proficiency in SQL and SAS programming, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Master's Degree in a related discipline and two years of experience in data analysis are preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of student data sources and possess the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Work Schedule:

This position typically follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM.
