We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Clinical Professor of Physical Education to join our faculty at Texas Woman's University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses related to physical education pedagogy, mentoring and advising students, and engaging in multidisciplinary collaborations.
Key Responsibilities- Teach a range of courses, including undergraduate and graduate courses in physical education pedagogy.
- Mentor and advise students, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their academic and professional goals.
- Engage in collaborative research and service activities, working with faculty and staff from across the university to advance the field of physical education.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methods and curricula, staying up-to-date with best practices in physical education pedagogy.
- Participate in departmental and university service, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that support the mission of the university.
- A master's degree in kinesiology or a closely related field, with a focus on physical education pedagogy.
- Public school teaching experience, with a strong record of teaching excellence.
- A valid Texas/National teaching certificate.
- A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience with teacher certification, student recruitment and retention, and building partnerships with community stakeholders.
- A strong record of research and publication in the field of physical education pedagogy.
- Experience with curriculum development and implementation, with a focus on innovative and effective teaching methods.
- A commitment to service, with a demonstrated ability to contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support the mission of the university.
