Medical Assistant/Patient Services Associate

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant/Patient Services Associate to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Responsibilities- Perform clinical and administrative duties to support efficient clinic flow and effective patient care.
- Take medical histories, capture and document patient vital signs, and update patient medical records.
- Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with medical exams and office procedures.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, administer injections/immunizations, and perform venipuncture as allowed by state regulations.
- Respond to patient calls, requests, and messages, and triage and process referrals and appointments.
- Maintain patient files, records, and other information, and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked with medical supplies.
- Diploma from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required.
- MA certification required; if not currently certified, certification must be obtained within 6 months to 1 year dependent on state requirements.
- 1+ years' experience in an office-based setting preferred.
- CPR certification required.
- Ability to maintain OSHA standards and HIPAA regulations.
