Job Summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant/Patient Services Associate to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical and administrative duties to support efficient clinic flow and effective patient care.
  • Take medical histories, capture and document patient vital signs, and update patient medical records.
  • Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with medical exams and office procedures.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, administer injections/immunizations, and perform venipuncture as allowed by state regulations.
  • Respond to patient calls, requests, and messages, and triage and process referrals and appointments.
  • Maintain patient files, records, and other information, and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked with medical supplies.
Qualifications
  • Diploma from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required.
  • MA certification required; if not currently certified, certification must be obtained within 6 months to 1 year dependent on state requirements.
  • 1+ years' experience in an office-based setting preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Ability to maintain OSHA standards and HIPAA regulations.
