Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our Nursing department at Gilder Search Group.

About the Role: As a Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the Nursing department to ensure the highest degree of quality care in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Nursing department, fostering a team atmosphere and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Quality Care: Ensure that all residents receive high-quality care, meeting or exceeding regulatory standards and expectations.
  • Staff Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing staff, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards, identifying and mitigating risks to the organization.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Liaise with residents, families, and support departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration, promoting a positive and supportive environment.

Requirements:

  • Education and Licensure: Currently licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Washington.
  • Experience: Two (2) years supervisory experience in a long-term care setting, preferably as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing.
  • Skills and Qualities: Strong leadership skills, ability to teach and lead by example, knowledge of practices and procedures, and ability to implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
