RN Director of Nursing Job Summary

The RN Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall supervision, provision, and quality of nursing care in the Nursing Facility. This leadership role involves the selection, training, discipline, and supervision of all nursing-related health center personnel, as well as the procurement of appropriate supplies and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care
  • Manage budgets and resources to optimize patient care
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree

  • Two years of experience in geriatric nursing or long-term care setting
  • Participation in professional organizations, dealing primarily in geriatrics preferred
