POSITION OVERVIEW

The Manufacturing Engineer II will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes within a machine shop setting. This role focuses on creating work instructions, process flows, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the introduction of new products into production lines.
  • Demonstrate expertise in machining-related manufacturing processes.
  • Provide technical insights to support production activities.
  • Manage and resolve discrepancies in materials produced during manufacturing.
  • Conduct product inspections and interpret customer specifications.
  • Define and document manufacturing processes, including equipment, tooling, and methods.
  • Review and enhance documentation for clarity and effectiveness.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives.
  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers to address technical challenges.
  • Develop and validate CNC programs using both manual methods and CAM software.
  • Establish and uphold processes that adhere to safety regulations.
  • Estimate processing times for machines to assist in quoting and production planning.
  • Maintain the ERP/MRP system and Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Actively pursue opportunities for process improvements.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in CNC machining process development.
  • Familiarity with various machine tools and their operational capabilities.
  • Understanding of inspection tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of aerospace plating processes, including chemical film and anodizing.
  • Experience with specialized processes such as heat treatment, passivation, and penetrant inspection.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to inquiries from diverse stakeholders.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Comply with all safety and health regulations as outlined by management.
  • Adhere to company security policies and procedures.
  • Willingness to undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • At least 3 years of engineering experience in a machining environment.
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM software for machining process creation.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Mazatrol systems is advantageous.
  • This position requires compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Candidates must meet U.S. Government export regulations/ITAR requirements.
