Assist in the management of project profitability and timelines.

Detailed Job Responsibilities:

Key Duties:

  • Perform all essential functions of an Entry Level/Intern Project Engineer.
  • Attend project meetings and document discussions (minutes).
  • Establish and maintain an electronic filing system.
  • Update and manage all sets of drawings, specifications, and logs.
  • Assist in the preparation of Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules.
  • Support the updating and maintenance of the master CPM schedule.
  • Evaluate and comprehend basic construction methods and practices.
  • Maintain a site-specific safety plan and pre-task planning process, including audits, meetings, and training.
  • Distribute all relevant documents to subcontractors and keep document logs.
  • Assess field issues and document Project Change Instructions (PCI).
  • Prepare and maintain PCI logs within the CMiC system.
  • Review, analyze, and transmit submittals.
  • Prepare and maintain submittal and procurement logs.
  • Carry out expediting functions.
  • Cost code and/or verify accurate codes on time sheets.
  • Code Accounts Payable Workflows as assigned.
  • Verify original estimate quantities for labor cost reports.
  • Report quantities in place and maintain labor cost reports.
  • Prepare and document extra work orders.
  • Review and compile change order submittals and quantity surveys.
  • Maintain PCI log in the CMiC system.
  • Establish and uphold a Quality Management system.
  • Maintain a progress photo album.
  • Compile contract closeout documents (O&M manuals, as-builts, etc.).
  • Maintain record set drawings.
  • Document punch list tasks.
  • Perform basic functions of Building Information Modeling and model administration.
  • Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or completion of a Construction Management Certificate Program, or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of construction-related experience, or equivalent.
  • Preferred experience in construction-related internships.
  • Field experience is advantageous, e.g., as a carpenter.
  • Basic understanding of construction cost accounting.
  • Fundamental estimating and scheduling skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment; self-motivated.
  • Drafting and advanced computer skills are a plus.
  • Knowledge of virtual construction technology systems is preferred.
Compensation:

Annual Salary:
$63,000 - $95,400.00
