Essel is in search of a Construction Superintendent with a proven track record in managing mid to large-scale construction endeavors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage multiple projects across various sectors, including:
    • Higher Education Institutions
    • K-12 Educational Facilities with DSA oversight
    • Specialized Construction Projects (OSHPD, etc.)
  • Review project plans and specifications to ensure precision, develop General Conditions, and establish baseline schedules for subcontractors and self-performing teams.
  • Monitor project budgets and manage all aspects of change management, RFIs, and owner payment applications.
  • Oversee shop drawings and submittals, draft subcontracts and purchase orders, maintain subcontractor relationships, and conduct regular coordination meetings on-site.
  • Foster client relationships and ensure consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of experience in K-12 and higher education construction sectors.
  • Experience with DSA oversight and project management.
  • A professional degree in construction management, architecture, or a related field (mechanical or civil engineering, construction technology, interior design, business administration) is preferred.
  • Proficient in negotiating, drafting, and executing subcontract agreements.
  • Willingness to relocate as necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Procore.
  • A strong team player committed to delivering exceptional client service.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
