Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Lead Cook to join our team at Aramark. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring our cooks to deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and work effectively with team members to deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive experience for guests.
  • Cook and prepare food following production guidelines and standardized recipes.
  • Monitor and ensure all staff comply with shift times and scheduled breaks to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate and assist in setting up and breaking down stations designated by the manager.
  • Use and care for kitchen equipment, including knives, stoves, freezers, and other machinery.
  • Coordinate and assist in maintaining a clean and organized work and storage area.
  • Assist with catering and special events as needed.
  • Adhere to the uniform policy and Aramark's safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience as a cook or in a related role.
  • Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
  • Able to pass a Food Handler certification exam.
  • Sufficient education or training to read, write, count, and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work quickly and concisely under pressure.
  • Available to work holidays and weekends as well as shorter or longer hours due to business volume.
