Clinical Dietitian II

Sutter Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and/or Diabetes Self-management Education/Training (DSMT) to patients. Your expertise will be essential in implementing patient care plans, gaining confidence and cooperation from patients and their families, and adhering to local, state, and federal regulations.
Responsibilities- Provide MNT and/or DSMT to patients, exercising sound judgment and clinical skills to implement patient care plans.
- Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication.
- Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety.
- Collaborate with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
- Compassionately and effectively interact with patients and staff with diverse backgrounds, cultures, values, beliefs, and behaviors.
- Completion of an accredited degree program and a supervised practice program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics.
- RD-Registered Dietitian/RDN-Registered Dietitian Nutritionist certification or eligibility to sit for the registration examination for dietitians within 90 days of hire.
- 2 years of recent relevant experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures.
- General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office and electronic health records (EHR).
This is a full-time position with a variable schedule, including every other weekend. The pay range is $50.21 to $65.25 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package available.
