SUMMARY:
The Sales Account Specialist is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and cultivating opportunities across a diverse customer base. This position emphasizes customer satisfaction through consistent engagement and effective management of client expectations. The Sales Account Specialist also educates clients on the extensive range of Genuine Parts Company products through detailed technical presentations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops new business opportunities through networking, proactive outreach, and comprehensive market research.
- Engages with clients in person to build strong relationships and ensure ongoing satisfaction.
- Analyzes complex customer requirements to prepare tailored quotes.
- Delivers compelling sales presentations while ensuring all technical specifications are met.
- Provides on-site support to address and resolve customer issues.
- Collaborates with vendor partners to strengthen relationships and enhance sales efforts.
- Undertakes additional responsibilities as needed.
- Drives revenue and profitability by generating new business and nurturing existing accounts.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires a high school diploma or GED, along with relevant industry and sales experience.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of essential sales principles and best practices.
- Capability to influence clients while fostering positive relationships.
- Initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in multitasking and effective time management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE:
Familiarity with industrial products including power transmission, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other related items.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
May require availability for on-call duties during evenings or weekends, based on operational needs.
