Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Sonesta Hotels. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction in our hotel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional service and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Develop and implement effective housekeeping procedures and protocols to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Partner with the Operations Manager to monitor performance and make recommendations for disciplinary and other human resources-related actions.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage the housekeeping staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to ensure that all housekeeping equipment and supplies are properly maintained and managed.
  • Inventory and maintain par levels for linen and supplies to ensure that the housekeeping department has the necessary resources to operate effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding health and safety services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus five years housekeeping experience including a minimum of one year of supervisory training/experience.
  • Previous background from the extended stay industry preferred.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
  • Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances.
  • Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational, and training abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
