Housekeeping Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Hilton Grand Vacations. As a key member of our resort's operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect units to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and ensure equipment, supplies, and storage are accurately locked and secured.
  • Orient and train employees on departmental and position procedures and functions, ensuring employees are consistently meeting efficiency and safety standards.
  • Assist in the maintenance of a continuous and forward-thinking cleaning plan, ensuring all areas of the property are cleaned, including guest rooms, public common areas, outdoor areas, offices, etc.
  • Assist with hiring, supervising, adapting, and training of all staff under the direction of the Housekeeping Department and assist with administrative tasks associated with maintaining accurate documentation, such as payroll timekeeping records, staff schedules, vacation hours, etc.
  • Ensure that all laundry operations are within efficiency standards and ensure all in-house staff or outside contractors are performing according to HGVC standards.
  • Investigate accidents and initiate accident reports, recommending corrective action as needed.
  • Advise management of any unresolved problems or concerns.
  • Ensure departmental employees wear accurate designated uniforms at all times.
  • Maintain and promote continuous communication and hospitality service among all members of the department, resort, and region.
  • In conjunction with the Executive Housekeeper, supervise guest service ratings and direct efforts to maintain accurate standards.
Requirements:
  • High School/GED
  • 3-5 years of related experience
  • 2+ years of Supervisory experience
