Job Summary

Aeon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inspections and Preventative Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing high-level management of internal and external inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining the quality and safety of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all properties, including defining maintenance schedules, identifying critical equipment and systems, and establishing procedures for proactive maintenance activities.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all assigned inspections, including REAC, and schedule and complete Pre-REAC inspections for all HUD-financed and affordable properties.
  • Perform safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and recommend possible corrections for potential hazards and ensure safety regulation compliance.
  • Develop customized maintenance plans for each property based on assessment findings, equipment specifications, and operational requirements.
  • Collect and analyze maintenance data to evaluate the effectiveness of the preventative maintenance program and generate reports and metrics to track key performance indicators.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of proven and high-level apartment maintenance skills, including plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, advanced HVAC, and appliance troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs for commercial or residential properties.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize maintenance strategies and resource allocation.
  • Ability to engage in high-level interpersonal interactions that are culturally responsive and ensure consideration for differing needs and expectations of residents, staff, vendors, and community members.
