Job Summary

Cassia is seeking a skilled Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management and be able to lead a team to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Department Management: Manage the maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping departments to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Complete routine maintenance repairs and projects, and respond to maintenance requests from residents and staff.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Assist with scheduling for preventative maintenance programs for major equipment and ensure it is in good operating condition.
  • Vendor Management: Communicate and build relationships with outside vendors to ensure contracted services are performed.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies on an on-call basis and manage records and surveys for the Safety Committee.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Serve on the Safety Committee, interact with health and safety inspectors, and manage the department's goals and objectives.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience in Assisted Living or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of building electrical systems, HVAC systems, boilers, plumbing, and water supply systems. Ability to work independently and with others, and to prioritize multiple requests throughout the day.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically, and to perform frequent kneeling, bending/ stooping, and pushing/ pulling to complete tasks throughout the day.
