Quality Assurance Specialist

Position Overview:
This role involves working on a rotating shift schedule consisting of four shifts: A, B, C, and D. Shifts A and C operate together, while B and D collaborate as well. For instance, when A is scheduled for day shifts, C will cover the night shifts, and vice versa for B and D. This arrangement allows for every other weekend off.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine analytical chemistry evaluations efficiently and accurately. Take charge of regular quality control (QC) assessments and maintain meticulous records in a safe and organized manner. Perform a variety of wet chemical and instrumental analyses on samples for process oversight and final QC verification. Ensure the precision of finished product evaluations.
Educational Background:
An Associate's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Background in science
- Prior experience in analytical testing
- Familiarity with GMP/GLP (Good Manufacturing/Laboratory Practices)
- Knowledge of wet chemistry methodologies
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation
Job Requirements:
- Willingness to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties
- Active participation in training and safety programs
- Strong attention to detail in following procedures, analytical techniques, and data entry
- Good judgment in reporting discrepancies or unusual occurrences to management
- Effective communication of results, issues, and priorities to supervisors and production teams
- Proficient computer skills, including accurate data entry and familiarity with databases and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to interpret complex technical instructions

Physical Requirements:
The role requires the ability to relocate equipment and supplies, walk long distances, stand for extended periods, climb stairs and ladders, and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
