Aerospace Assembly Technician

This dynamic position involves the assembly of aerospace structural components from various parts, subassemblies, and elements with a focus on independence and efficiency. The organization is recognized as a premier designer and manufacturer of a wide range of aerospace products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute assembly tasks with a high degree of proficiency.
  • Carry out daily responsibilities autonomously.
  • Install units, parts, and components in structural assemblies according to detailed blueprints and specifications, utilizing both hand and power tools.
  • Securely fasten accessories to support or suspend components and subassemblies using bolts, screws, or rivets.
  • Drill holes in structures and subassemblies, attaching brackets, hinges, or clips to ensure secure installation.
  • Identify and mark reference points and holes for the installation of parts and components using jigs, templates, and measuring tools.
  • Inspect and test installed units, parts, and equipment for proper fit, performance, and adherence to standards using measuring instruments and testing equipment.
  • Position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures according to blueprint lines and index points.
  • Cut, trim, and file parts, verifying fitting tolerances to prepare for installation.
  • Utilize liquid nitrogen or presses for the installation of bushings as necessary.
  • Apply sealants or paint according to customer specifications while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Operate shop equipment essential for completing tasks, including C-squeeze, arbor presses, ground stud pullers, cherry pullers, and hand tools.
  • Ensure the finished workpiece conforms to specifications using standard measuring tools.
  • Produce parts that meet engineering specifications independently.
  • Deliver high-quality parts with minimal non-conformances.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of prior assembly experience in the aerospace sector.
  • Basic proficiency in shop mathematics.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow work instructions accurately.
  • Completion of an aptitude assessment during the interview process.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude towards work.
  • Dependable, with a record of punctuality and good attendance.
  • Follow instructions meticulously and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mechanically inclined with excellent manual dexterity.

Compensation:

  • Hourly wage commensurate with experience.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
