We are seeking a skilled Assembly Line Technician to join our team at Builders FirstSource. As an Assembly Line Technician, you will be responsible for performing repetitive assembly operations to mass-produce products such as windows, doors, trusses, panels, or stairs.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble products by placing parts in specified relationships to each other.
- Fasten parts together using bolts, clips, screws, cement, or other methods.
- Cut products to specific measurements as needed.
- Remove defective products as needed.
- Tend machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations on the assembly line.
- Work at different workstations as production needs require.
- Work in an environment where tasks change as varying models of product are produced.
- Clean equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures.
- No prior experience or education is required, but prior carpentry experience is helpful.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Verbal expression ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
