Strategic Financial Partner for Growth

Are you a seasoned CFO with experience in startups or small companies with recurring revenue models? Do you have a track record of taking a SaaS or subscription services company through an acquisition? Or, are you a VP of FP&A or VP of Finance at a larger company, who excels at collaborating with other executives to identify opportunities for financial optimization and using data to inform your decision-making?

This marketing services company, located in the region, has recently undergone restructuring and is experiencing significantly increased profitability. They are looking for a strategic CFO to partner with the CEO, who can be hands-on with pricing, projections, and forecasting.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Identify areas of growth and ways to reinvest in the business
  • Create accurate forecasting and projections, both short term (3-6 month) and long term
  • Work closely with the CEO to prepare for a 3-5 year exit (under the advisement of Exit Strategist Consultants)
  • Collaborate with the Sales leader to evaluate the current pricing structure and make any adjustments needed to optimize pricing
  • Collaborate with the VP of Operations to identify opportunities to implement improved, scalable processes and systems
  • Establish future growth strategy, including: evaluate acquisition targets, think through scalable growth, and especially identify the future impact of decisions being made today

You Will Need:

  • Experience as a CFO at small/startup companies and/or VP level FP&A or Finance roles at larger organizations (some small company/startup experience is required)
  • Strong finance, financial forecasting, and pricing experience
  • Experience working with sales to establish commission structure
  • Knowledgeable in subscription revenue (either SaaS or service subscriptions)
  • Experience in small/startup companies, understands working in a small team environment
  • M&A experience - specifically preparing for and taking a company through an acquisition, as well as folding in acquired entities
  • Data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Pricing Strategy experience: evaluating and establishing product pricing
  • Enjoy being hands-on and collaborating closely with other executive leaders
  • Be located in the region or willing to relocate (relo assistance provided)
