We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Financial Aid to join our team at Notre Dame of Maryland University. Key Responsibilities- Financial Aid Operations: Oversee the administration of financial aid programs, including the Federal Work-Study (FWS) and Bonner programs.
- Student Support: Provide financial aid counseling to students and parents, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial aid awards.
- Compliance and Reporting: Perform Return of Title IV Calculations and assist with completion of financial aid reports for the University.
- Training and Development: Coordinate training of new office staff and student workers, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Professional Development: Attend and participate in professional groups, seminars, and courses to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; post-graduate work preferred.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in financial aid, with a strong understanding of need analysis and verification procedures, financial aid software, and federal financial aid regulations.
- Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to make effective presentations; strong organizational and management skills; experience with office applications software, preferably Microsoft Office products; and experience with Ellucian, MDCAPS, and NSLDS.
