About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Propulsion Development Engineer to join our team at Relativity Space. As a key member of our Propulsion Engineering team, you will be responsible for driving the development of our Aeon R engine systems from concept through launch and reuse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive engine system trades and manage engine interfaces to optimize for the vehicle
  • Support engine system development, analysis, and simulation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engine system solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, technology, or mathematics field
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in complex engineering system development and/or test environment
  • Experience applying engineering fundamentals in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics
  • Experience applying knowledge of liquid-propellant rocket engines
Nice to Have
  • Working knowledge of fluid components such as valves and instrumentation
  • Working knowledge of engine subsystems such as combustion devices and turbomachinery
  • Clear evidence of ownership, problem-solving skills, and effective team collaboration
  • Experience driving to deliver on ambitious schedules
