Job Title: Direct Support Professional 2 La Puente

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional 2 to join our team at Redwood Family Care Network in La Puente, CA. As a Direct Support Professional 2, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives.

Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional 2 assists adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives, providing complete care of dietary, hygiene, grooming, and dressing needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others and be committed to providing person-centered services.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with bathroom needs and change undergarments and/or clothing as needed.
  • Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
  • Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).
  • Redirect behaviors with various activities, including walking, reading, games, math, and computer projects.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid, CPI, and MUST have DSP 1 & 2. RBT needs to be completed on own within 6-12 months of hire.
  • 1 year of professional or personal experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities (e.g. Autism) or mental illnesses (e.g. Bipolar) with challenging behaviors strongly preferred.
  • Must have a valid in-state drivers license, be over 21, provide current registration and insurance, and have a driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years.
