Job Title: Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Dungarvin. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing direct care support to individuals with developmental disabilities in our Day Program.

Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional will assist individuals with planning and achieving their goals, develop and maintain relationships, and participate in their communities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives and enjoy coaching, mentoring, and encouraging others to reach their goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist individuals with daily activities such as mealtime and personal care
  • Implement positive behavior support plans
  • Drive the company van or small bus to activities in the community
  • Follow protocols and procedures to maintain a healthy and safe environment
  • Assist individuals with planning and achieving their goals
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience working with individuals who display behaviors
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to drive company van
  • 21 years or older
  • Ability to lift/transfer 50 pounds
  • Person-centered, patient, and kind
  • Dependable, adaptable, flexible
  • Observant and detail-oriented
