Job Title: Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Redwood Family Care Network. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional will assist adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives, including complete care of dietary, hygiene, grooming, and dressing needs. You will also redirect behaviors with various activities, such as walking, reading, games, math, and computer projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily routines, including meal preparation, personal care, and medication administration
  • Redirect behaviors with various activities, such as walking, reading, games, math, and computer projects
  • Prepare daily routines for clients, as written in Individual Program Plans
  • Pick-up and drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary)
Requirements:
  • 1 year of professional or personal experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities (e.g. Autism) or mental illnesses (e.g. Must have a valid in-state driver's license, be over 21, provide current registration and insurance, and have a driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years
  • Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
