Quality Assurance Nurse Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Nurse to join our team at St. Luke's Health System. As a Quality Assurance Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality patient care and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct audits and quality activities related to patient blood management
  • Establish, implement, and maintain policies and procedures related to blood product utilization
  • Collaborate with medical staff to optimize patient blood management strategies
  • Monitor patient blood use and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Provide training and education to healthcare staff about patient blood management best practices
  • Evaluate and implement new patient blood management technologies and techniques
  • Promote compliance with all regulatory standards related to blood and blood product usage
  • Participate in research and data collection efforts related to patient blood management
Requirements:
  • Education: ASN
  • Experience: 2 years of RN experience required; prefer inpatient hospital experience (oncology, ED, surgical or OB) and someone who is highly interested in science, data analysis, and performance improvement
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in state of practice
