Imagine Staffing is seeking a Member Service Representative for our client, a prominent federal credit union. This role is designed as a temporary to permanent opportunity, offering a competitive rate of $18.00/hour within a vibrant work environment that promotes professional growth.

In the capacity of a Member Service Representative, you will act as the primary point of contact between members and the credit union. Your responsibilities will include providing account details via phone or in-person interactions, delivering comprehensive information about the full suite of credit union offerings, facilitating account openings, resolving member inquiries, and addressing their needs with professionalism. You will also provide a range of transactional services to our members.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Tasks for Success

  • Welcome members and guests to the credit union with courtesy and professionalism, ensuring prompt, efficient, and accurate service both in-person and remotely.
  • Address electronic inquiries submitted by members through email or other platforms.
  • Handle member requests, concerns, and complaints, or direct them to the appropriate personnel for specialized assistance.
  • Facilitate the opening of new accounts and manage existing ones, ensuring members receive all necessary information to establish their membership.
  • Investigate account discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist members in reconciling their accounts and completing payroll deduction or direct deposit forms accurately.
  • May be required to undertake some responsibilities of a loan clerk, including tracking insurance and liens.
  • Perform additional duties as required or requested.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of credit union products and services, with the capability to effectively present and explain these offerings to members.
  • Experience handling cash transactions.
  • Familiarity with endorsements and negotiable instruments.
