POSITION SUMMARY:

The Advanced Auto Pick Technician is responsible for executing both automated and manual processes for picking and placing die from wafers into designated packaging, adhering to customer specifications and operational protocols.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Entry-Level Responsibilities:

  • Interpret work documentation to assess wafer requirements.
  • Operate machinery for processing various wafer sizes.
  • Prepare packaging for remnants, ensuring proper labeling and sealing.
  • Conduct product inspections using designated monitoring equipment.
  • Identify and document any defects in the product.
  • Perform inspections on both sides of the wafer.
  • Ensure correct orientation of die during packaging.
  • Monitor for operational errors and equipment malfunctions.
  • Utilize appropriate tools to prevent damage during handling.
  • Comply with safety standards and company policies.
  • Adapt to additional tasks as required.

Intermediate-Level Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete remnant packaging process.
  • Maintain and clean machinery and tools used in operations.
  • Set up machinery for testing and validation processes.
  • Verify wafer remnants against documentation.
  • Ensure accuracy in die counts and match with documentation.
  • Facilitate machine setup from initiation to completion.
  • Adjust camera systems for optimal operation.
  • Match and verify wafer maps against actual remnants.
  • Adhere to quality and safety standards.
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Advanced-Level Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve machinery issues to minimize defects.
  • Prepare and verify emaps for operational accuracy.
  • Develop new operational recipes based on customer requirements.
  • Plan and manage job assignments based on operational capabilities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for job rework.
  • Assist engineering with specialized setup instructions.
  • Flexibility to undertake other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience:

  • Level 1: 6 months in a wafer preparation environment preferred.
  • Level 2: 1+ years in a wafer preparation environment preferred.
  • Level 3: 2+ years of relevant experience required; 3+ years preferred.
  • Level 4: 3+ years of relevant experience required; 4+ years preferred.

SKILLS:

  • Strong documentation and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient understanding of semiconductor processes.
  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate various equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

No direct supervisory responsibilities.
