Position Overview:

We are in search of a dedicated Assistant Community Director for our active adult community tailored for residents aged 55 and older - Affinity at Billings. In this role, you will assist the Community Director in managing the overall operations of the community. Your responsibilities will include providing administrative support for financial documentation and maintaining resident files, alongside assisting with leasing, marketing, and resident relations.

  • Foster a community atmosphere that enhances residents' quality of life while delivering exceptional customer service and a nurturing home environment.
  • Oversee property operations in the absence of the Community Director.
  • Support the Community Director by preparing weekly updates, move-out documentation, and month-end financial reports.
  • Handle daily financial transactions, including collecting and recording rent payments and fees.
  • Review resident files and financial records to identify any outstanding or overdue fees.
  • Maintain precise records, including leasing documentation, liability insurance, and resident activities.
  • Assist the sales team by welcoming prospective residents, gathering lead information, showcasing apartment homes, and securing lease deposits.
  • Facilitate the leasing and renewal process by ensuring complete and accurate applications and maintaining organized records.
  • Assist with conducting credit and background checks.
  • Ensure all applications are fully approved prior to resident move-in.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to stay informed about current marketing initiatives.
  • Research local competition and market trends.
  • Conduct orientations for new residents.
  • Engage in resident-led events and activities.
  • Regularly assess the condition of the grounds, buildings, and model apartments, reporting any issues or maintenance needs to the Community Director.
  • Assist residents in reporting and documenting maintenance requests.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all Fair Housing regulations.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a professional, relationship-oriented Assistant Community Director who can effectively collaborate with the site team to manage daily community operations while building strong relationships with residents.

  • Must be a team-oriented individual who prioritizes collective success over individual achievement.
  • Must possess determination, ambition, and self-motivation.
  • Prior experience in multifamily property management is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills; proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) is required.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, property management software (e.g., Yardi, On-Site), and CRM systems.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • High School diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Valid driver's license and access to an insured, operational vehicle.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly wage, ranging from $20 to $23, based on experience.
