BMS Application Engineer

Position Overview:
As a vital contributor to the management and virtualization of enterprise Building Management Systems (BMS), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective operation of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Configure and maintain primary and secondary virtual servers.
• Collaborate with local service providers to transition BMS controllers to the enterprise virtual environment.
• Set up network configurations and manage user access.
• Establish and test alert distribution systems.
• Commission the virtualized systems and facilitate the handover to the operations team.
• Monitor system performance and execute performance optimization strategies.
• Address system alerts and manage service tickets.
• Create comprehensive playbooks to document routine tasks and troubleshooting methods.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in programming and managing BMS systems is advantageous but not mandatory. Familiarity with any of the following BMS applications is beneficial:
• Tridium Niagara
• Siemens Desigo CC
• Schneider EcoStruxture
• Alterton Compass
• Sauter Vision Center

Experience with BMS technologies such as:
• Lighting Controls
• Leakage Detection
• Temperature Sensors
• Compressed Air Pumps
• Energy Power Meters
• Indoor/Outdoor Air Quality Monitoring
• Battery System Monitoring
• Building Shades
• Solar Power Monitoring

Technical Skills:
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present technical information effectively.
• Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with team members and stakeholders.

Behavioral Attributes:
• Ability to maintain high-quality standards while managing tight deadlines.
• A resourceful self-starter who is flexible, proactive, and focused on solutions.

Work Environment:
• Required in-office presence for three days a week, with the possibility of remote work on other days. On-site requirements may change as needed.

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma/GED with 10-12 years of relevant experience
• Associate's Degree with 8-10 years of experience
• Bachelor's Degree with 5-7 years of experience

Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
• Ability to sit for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity for keyboard use.
• Effective listening and communication skills.
