Job Summary:

AmeriGas Propane, Inc. is seeking a skilled Propane Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and closing new customers by selling propane solutions within a specific territory assignment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prospect customer needs, establish relationships, and present sales proposals focusing on new and existing commercial accounts.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals as defined by the Territory Sales Manager on Total Sales Profit.
  • Develop and execute a sales plan for the specific geographic area to maintain a high level of effective sales call activity and increase productivity.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals to current and prospective customers.
  • Network with decision-makers in targeted client organizations to lead them to the AmeriGas solution.
  • Protect AmeriGas from competitive threats, maintaining and sharing excellent competitive intelligence.
  • Stay current on industry regulatory changes and work with the Territory Sales Manager and vendors to improve sales tools and techniques.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of applications and customer solutions.
  • Attend periodic meetings and training classes as required.
  • Prepare complete and accurate paperwork based on corporate policy and procedures.
  • Be proficient in the regular use of the CRM tool for new account acquisition.

Requirements:
  • College degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Sales experience with a demonstrated record of sales success and goal attainment.
  • Commercial/industrial sales experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver's license with the ability to travel within the local area, including customer visits, district visits, and trade shows.
